The purpose of the FVPSA Formula Grantee Regional Meetings are to provide training, technical assistance and peer mentoring to state administrators, tribes, and domestic violence coalitions receiving FVPSA formula grants. The meeting presentations focus on FVPSA administrative, programmatic and regulative information as well as the promotion of evidence informed and promising practices to address family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence, per 42 U.S.C. § 10404 (b)(1). The FVSPSA Program is required to provide technical assistance in conducting programs for the prevention and treatment of family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence. The meeting provides half a day for a new state administrators, coalition executive directors, and tribal program managers orientation and two full days that consist of a combination of joint (all State Administrators, tribal programs, DV and tribal Coalitions) plenaries; facilitated separate group discussions, facilitated joint group discussions, and separate workshops on identified topics.
