FVPSA’s Pre-Meeting Institute will address overarching themes and information that is important and applicable to all FVPSA Formula Grantees (e.g., States, Tribes/Tribal Organizations, and State Domestic Violence Coalitions). Meeting attendees will hear from FVPSA Director, Shawndell N. Dawson with FVPSA Program Announcements and Updates as well as information on Understanding the Foundations of Our Work. FEMA will conduct their OPEN Training, which is focused on disaster response and emergency preparedness for community-based organizations. The National Domestic Violence Hotline will present on the State of The Hotline, including recognition of its 25 Year anniversary, and the StrongHearts Native Helpline will discuss its work. Last, participants will hear from the FVPSA Program and its federal partners on Healing and Recovery During the COIVD-19 Pandemic.
